When moms are away

So after Jordan's birthday party James and Becky and a couple of friends stuck around awhile to hang out. So us girls plan an exciting adventure to wallgreens to buy gray covering hair color...(don't worry Becky I wont say who for)....yee hee, and I get really crazy and leave the kids home.....I know, I know I left all three of my children home with Ben...right that down!

Well moms I'm not sure exactly how watchful your husbands would be over your pre teen daughters especially during a game of Call of "DUTY", you know it is a matter of life or death, our war heroes cant be too into the children right? We come to our door greeted by something quite scary for a mom....and a little comical.....until I saw my makeup drawer

MAYBE GUITAR HERO WASNT SUCH A GOOD IDEA AFTER ALL?? I ONLY PRAY THEY WEREN'T SERIOUS ABOUT USING EYE LINER ON THEIR LIPS????

The morning after

The morning after we had that wonderful ice melt away (much too soon) I woke up to something I personally find quite beautiful. FOG Lots of fog, I LOVE it. If I could see to drive the next time its this foggy Im goin to drive down to the park and take lots of pictures. I took these in the middle of the street in my robe:)

EGGS FRICRAPPA

Ok so I now have TWO of the most digusting things Ive ever eating in my life. Eggs Fritata AKA eggs fricrappa

Oh isnt it irresistable! Powdered eggs and dried bits of veggies!

I couldnt even swallow this stuff...theres was only one thing I could do with it

You're kidding right????

Does she think we're going to eat this?

No not even Tucker, our fat cat who refuses NOTHING you put in his face would touch this!

I've been slacking off

Okay so i havent been been keeping up with this blog....noone reads it anways! Im still dieting still doing the same ol stuff, not too exciting is it. Took awesome pics of our Ice day just so I could blog about it! So here that is!
Getting ice or snow around here is a very exciting thing for us! Im like a school kid wajing at all hours to peak out the door and see if anything is happening. I think I got up about 10 times and walked out the front door. I just love the sound of an iceas it falls. Ben even gets excited cause he hopes to stay home from work! Well the first ice day....everyone went to school, and work. Finally though we had enough to close down the day! Now in G.P they wait until the last possible minute to close down....I HATE it! ny amount of ice or snow is a huge thing to us! I got some neat pics of the icecicles, and the kids got to go with Dad and uncle James to do some sledding.

By the way...moon sand will return to normal after freezing...amazing stuff

He had Sirloin, I had... cat?

Ok, I'm still alive and haven't gone on an eat all I see frenzy so guess Im doing ok. Thia morning was easy for me, its Sunday and that's church day so I normally don't have time for breakfast anyway, i actually had to force myself to eat a cranberry granola bar.

After a wonderful sermon and coming home in a refreshed and great mood, I started to prepare everyones lunch. I did a simple lunch mac and cheese for them and deli sandwiches.

Me? What did I have you ask? I think I now know what the back side of a cow taste like...........CRAP.

CHEESY TORTELLINI aka dog poo
Now don't let this little guy fool you. When I cooked this up and took a look I thought
hmmm chef boy r dee..........WRONG!!!!!! This had to be the worst thing ever to touch these lips...in the trash it quickly went. Now I can handle bland and blah...but BUTT, I cannot. This was just too disgustingly indescribable, I was ready to call nutrisystem, seriously it was that bad, I wish I had a picture of Ben's face when he tasted it....priceless. This would be a good punishment for when the kids are out of line. So I stuck to my salad and carrots.

I have discovered this little character though, everytime I do start to enjoy my salad......this little character always knows, and jumps in to take it away...he is a salad thief, and would prefer my salad over his mac and cheese...everytime...guess that's a good thing:)

After lunch I took the kids to see the new movie Ink Heart. I think I must be wanting to escape the house, maybe I don't trust myself? I had to make my stop by the $ store and let the kids pick out their snacks and drinks....yes, I'm a snack sneaker in the movies. I picked my sugar free candy, all they had were these nasty caramels. I'm aloud 5 sf candies a day (pieces) Jordan picks peach rings and Meghan jolly ranchers........darn it. So we arrive and I'm thinking how am I going to do this.....the smell of movie popcorn fills the air....and I didn't really want it. Thank you Lord!!!! But I think I chewed 3 pieces of sf gum..............lol

I am beginning to think that this lack of food is effecting my mind...after losing my phone in the movies and digging through all the garbage trying to find it, I decided I'm going to get my cheese sticks at the store. I pass by some sirloin steaks and buy them for dinner. I don't know whats wrong with me! I guess I like a challenge.

So, he had sirloin...........

and I had..........

Oriental steak (cat) with mushrooms, noodles ,and peppers. Ok so it probably wasn't cat, cause it actually tasted alright. I think after that tortellini nightmare anything will at this point.

I finished off with some cabbage and celery

Then my favorite part so far, desert. Chocolate cake....anything chocolate is going to be very welcome in this diet!

I survived day 1

Well, a typical Saturday morning in my house consist of the little sounds of Austin through the monitor waking his brother and sister, down the stairs they fly to watch cartoons. I usually attempt at sleeping a little later than they do, but that's just NOT possible.

Normally, I would awaken and begin breakfast, bacon eggs and biscuits.....and if I'm in a descent mood,gravy...yum. Today however was a little different. I made the boys Leggo cereal...which unfortunately is one of MY favorites! Then I made Ben waffles (his favorite). My breakfast was a breakfast bar...chocolate chip. That's all, just a bar. It actually wasn't too bad. I did worry that it would taste like one of those grainy textured power bars...but it wasn't bad, after all it did have chocolate chips in it!

I did some housework and before I knew it (just as my tummy was growling) It was lunch time. Lunch was def different. First I enjoyed a big bowl of iceberg lettuce, baby carrots and fat free ranch...not too shabby:)

I topped that off with a cup of fettuccine alfredo. Now the flavor there was def a little bland, not exactly "saucy" but a little pepper, and it was ok. It would have been nice for my serving of fat free cheese but the cheese sticks run out fast in this house! Maybe next time!

After watching my child sit in front of tv most of the day....which I despise...i get the crazy hair to take my kids to Chuck e cheese......I know. What was I thinking!? The smell of that greasy cheesy heaven....oh it smelled so good. I did very well though, I made me a salad with carrots (again) and fat free catalina dressing with some broccoli, it was really good. I did take a pinch of Jordan's crust....just a small one. then when we got home I got to enjoy MY pizza....sourdough cheese pizza....a very small portion. After seeing and smelling pizza I think at this point any pizza would have been satisfying and it really was, just wish I could have had more. My sister n law saw my food and said well yeah you will lose weight your starving yourself!

Finally, the best portion of the day.....dessert! Chocolate chip pudding..........yummy. Now this isn't your typical chocolate pudding but after today it was definitely a welcome treat. Just imagine taking one of those hunts pudding cups, adding a cup of water and throw in a few pieces of bakers chocolate....there you have it. By this time it was the best choc pudding I ever had! Even if it was somewhat watery, and yes I did lick the bowl!

28 days

I am going to start blogging again....after visiting my sisters blog countless times she has inspired me, shes such a good blogger and she is becoming a very talented photographer I must say.

So for my first come back blog. ... As many of you know I have been very unhappy lately because of my weight gain..............I looked at food and bam...Im huge. Ok so it didnt happen quite that fast, or quite that easy. So no doubt it wont be that easy to remove either.

Well I decided to try nutrisystem. i thought about weight watchers but I am not particularly in any hurry to go to a meeting where I will have to stand on a scale, in front of a skinny girl no doubt, and have my tragic triple digits come up for her to see, where she will later think to herself "If that ever happens to me just kill me". So nutrisystem it is.

Now I didnt make this decision in haste...well I did see the commercial twice in one day so you know that was a sign...yeah right. So I jumped on the comp read a few lines from the web site whipped out my credit card and picked me some food! 28 days worth.

So today I come home to a huge box on my door step which since I am so large and so out of shape Im sure I would have made a good commercial to join Nutrisystem as I tried to drag it through the door, all the while holding my walmart bags full of buttery syrup, waffles and lego cereal (all for the kids).

Now opening this box led to three more boxes, Im actually pretty excited about this....until I see all the food. For one they "substituted" some of my food choices because of shortages. I have a dried up cartoon of Pea soup...wow am i looking foward to that! I also imagine I will have gas to know end since they "substi-tooted" me with FIVE BLACK BEAN soups. I like black beans but not that much!

28 days of breakfast

I did order a chicken breast patty and a hamburger patty. So I am holding this box that CLAIMS inside their is a hamburger patty and its light as a feather. My lunches....are like those little microwavable cans of denty moore soup or pasta you buy for the kids....this is def all about portion control.

28 days of lunch

The most appealing looking item in the whole box were the "sweets", the ones covered in chocolate, and meal bars.

Oh and the number one thing I was thinking about...well of course it can sit on your porch all day if you arent home, none of it needs refrigerated.....................gross. Lasagna in plastic.

28 days of dinner

Dont get me wrong Im not complaining (well maybe a little) I really am looking foward to this adventure:) But I have learned to love food...thats why Im in this mess!!

28 days of DESERT

So I hope to blog everyday about the WONDERFUL food I got to enjoy and how my "workouts" are going. I would love support from anyone who wants to give it! We may laugh we may cry..I MAY lose 60 lbs! I will also post pics as lose the weight..............YEAH. cant believe Im willing but Im doing it all!!
